President Michael Sata on Friday spoke to supporters of his party – PF cadres on the cellular phone of his daughter Chilufya, reports Zambian Eye’s Musamba Mumba.
The Zambian Leader who is undergoing treatment in London telephoned Chilufya who was around Northmead area doing her shopping at the time.
“Chilufya who came to Northmead mid morning and when PF cadres recognised her they went to her to show support for her father and that they were praying for him so that he comes back home better. It was at that point that the President coincidentally called her and when she explained to him that she was surrounded by his cadres, he asked her to put the phone on loud speaker so that he could speak to them. The president sounded like his usual self and his voice was far much better than when he addressed Parliament ” narrated the source.And there was jubilation at Northmead when PF cadres heard a much stronger Sata speaking causing traffic jam for few minutes.
President Sata left the country last Sunday for medical check up according to a statement released by State House.
President Sata though not well is not as bad as it is reported by some Online Media that his condition has worsened. Some family members have confirmed to Zambian Eye that they have been speaking to him on telephone.
President Sata has also been in constant touch with Acting President Edgar Lunu and Vice president Guy Scott. He has even sunctioned Lungu to chair a Cabinet meeting today, Monday October 27.
