President Michael Sata has directed Education Minister John Phiri to expel students protesting against removal of subsidies in fuel and maize.

The Zambian leader has also ordered Police to arrests all the students that are protesting against his government’s decision. He said it was immoral to continue subsidizing fuel and maize at the expense of directing resources to help the majority poor people in rural areas.

He said the people in rural areas lack schools and prper healthcare.

President Sata accused opposition UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema of fanning the protests at UNZA.

He said this when he laid foundation stones at Palabana University.

  2. Is this an acptance from PF that the regional party(UPND southern province) has become powerfull and has influence even in their backyard? Honestly if UPND was a regional party, how can it influence students at UNZA, CBU and now Mulungushi University?

  4. Kambwili said that when one leaves priesthood, they go mad. He lied.
What is true is when u ascend to POWER through 90 days nonsense theories and lies, u end up getting MAD.

It is SATA who is going crazy and MAD.

  6. ZAMBIA is not a dictatorship yet. But there is already an APPLICANT for the JOB. “Who is able to present even one single point of evidence, facts, May I say, which could be the basis for any argument that what THE UNIVERSITY STUDENTS AND OTHER CIVIL ORGANISATIONS ARE doing(DEMOSTTRATIONS AND ENLIGHTMENT) is AGAINST DEMOCRACY?”
Our President thinks he can succeed in ending democracy and turning Zambia into a one-party dictatorship, they have orchestrated a massive propaganda campaign to win the loyalty and cooperation of Zambians. Look at the editorials in “The Post”, The Zambia Daily Mail and a host of Other Pro PF papers, viewpoints in any way threatening to the PF beliefs or to the regime are censored or eliminated from all media and would rather just show what pleases them.
They have determined beforehand what we should hear from their media.
Let’s be careful, our schools, churches, please teach students and others about the power of electronic media through use of phones, black berry and not depend on these daily papers that capture news before press time, especially at such a time as this DIFFICULT TIME ZAMBIA is going through. Let’s spread the news quickly and not buy the POST TOMORROW to hear from their PROPAGANDA.
The only way that we can take effective action is by shutting down dictatorship mentality and all its associated vices. If we don’t do that, we cannot send out the message that we stood up for MOTHER ZAMBIA. ZAMBIA HAS NO PLACE FOR DICTATORS. LETS ALL STAND UP FOR MOTHER ZAMBIA AND NOT LET A FEW ELITES DESTROY OUR Children, CHILDRENS COUNTRY. ZAMBIA IS BIGGER THAN ANYONE OF US.

  18. Dear country men and women its so shocking that some fools can still have hopes believing what these demagogues are still tell you my simple questions are?
1.where does taxi payers money go to and how is it spend
2.Do you expect by cutting subsidies anything will be achieved if these gunkse have failed to utilize taxpayers to the intended purpose or priorities for economic development?
    3. where and how has the Euro bond loan been utilized because that’s a lot money to be used for various socio-economic projects/development (Zambians lets not forget SAPs, HIPC and Privatization) the mention are as a result of huge borrowing and failing to pay hence the nation is conditioned.
4.the next government will suffer the consequence in settling these debts.
I appeal to all reasonable Zambians to critically analyse issues in depth and as people who have values and morals.Lets try to be very analytically and not a kaponya kind of reasoning or argument. I believe an intellectual should be rationale.
Lets protect our Beloved Country for Present and Future Generation.
