No media to cover President Sata arriving back home

There was no media invited to cover President Michael Sata on Sunday when he returned home from New York where he went to attend the UN General Assembly.

It was expected that the media would be invited to cover the President arriving after much publicist by the US media of him receiving emergency treatment in his hotel room which the Zambian government disputed.

Government owned and controlled ZNBC Television just showed still two pictures and quoted President Sata’s Spokesperson confirming his arrival. George Chellah told ZNBC  that President Sata arrived at 9am CAT.

On the pictures shown President Sata is shown arriving, being  welcomed by Acting President Edgar Lungu who is also Patriotic Front General Secretary, Defense and Justice Minister, Vice president Guy Scott and PF Central Committee Chairperson for Security Col. Gerry Chanda.

Sata’s media relations people are definitely doing a very bad Job. Those pictures posted today about Sata arriving at KK international airport are very old pictures, those pictures appeared in the media late 2012 when Sata was coming back from a private visit in the UK. Its amazing how far the PF can go hide Sata’s health. Just what are they fearing?

This is has gone too far already and it has to stop. And these media people for sata are amateurs; the more they want to hide Sata, the more they incriminate themselves. There is no way, after all those rumours of Sata collapsing in a new york hotel room and then he sneaks in the country quietly! What a poor show from sata’s advisors. The best the PF could have done was to invite the media to witness sata’s arrival so as for the nation to know that the US media was just being malicious on Sata’s health.

Even the PF’s mouth piece, ZNBC was just told by George chellah that Sata arrived in the country around 10 hrs. What is really going on??? Sata definitely needs help and everyone ‘s prayers- and above all, rest so that he receives medication in a nice environment. Showing old pictures of a beaming, energetic, health looking and smiling sata alighting from a plane will not help matters at all.
