President Edgar Chagwa Lungu has with immediate effect dissolved cabinet and is set to name and swear in his new cabinet tomorrow.
When delivering his inaugural speech this afternoon, the new head of state made the first appointment to his cabinet by naming former Home Affairs Minister Dr. Ngosa Simbyakula as the new Justice Minister and immediately tasked him with spearheading the constitution making process.
Mr Lungu said he was going to hold a briefing this morning to announce the appointment of other ministers to his Cabinet. He said some of the current ministers would be maintained while others would be replaced.
And President Lungu has appointed First Secretary for Press at Zambia’s High Commission in London Amos Chanda as his Special Assistant for Press and Public Relations.
