Power outage is painful and regrettable – UPND MP

Even after the announcement by Zambia Electricity Supply Company (ZESCO) that load shedding has ended in the country, some places has not seen any change.

Itezhi-Tezhi United Party for National Development (UPND) Member of Parliament (MP) Twaambo Mutinta says the current outage situation they are experiencing in the constituency is painful and regrettable.

“My-fridge home is now malfunctioning,” Mutinta said.

He says the local ZESCO team is trying its best to communicate on time to the public and to keep restoring power on Namwala line but the task is huge during this season with increased floods.

Muntita says, he has been in constant communication with both ZESCO and ITPC from January on how be the transformer issue can be resolved..

However Mutinta did not say what the response from ZESCO is, “very soon I will come back to give the people a more concrete statement on where the process is,” he said.

He says frantic efforts are being made to resolve this matter .
