Popular musician to run against Museveni

Musician Bobi Wine has successfully been nominated as Presidential candidate ahead of January 2026 elections in Uganda.

Wine the opposition Leader is again standing against President Yoweri Museveni who has been president of Uganda since 1986.

He is one of the longest serving presidents in Africa.

President Museveni says this will be the last term he will be running. He has previously beat Wine with reports of election rigging.
