Polling officers attacked in Choma

Unknown people have attacked electoral officers at Choma’s Sibanyati Polling Center.

Presiding officer Earnest Mushutila narrated that as soon as the counting of votes commenced, unknown people started throwing stones at the classroom which was being used for voting and counting, causing panic among officers.

He added that the situation later calmed down allowing the counting to be competed, with results to be announced shortly.

Meanwhile 2 suspects have since been apprehended.
