Politicians mourn acclaimed actress Wanga Zulu

Acclaimed Zambian actress Wanga Zulu, best known for her role as Mai Guru in the hit TV series Mpali, has passed away after a battle with cancer.

Following her death social media went abuzz with condolence messages pouring.

In 2014, Zulu, alias ,Junza, announced how she was diagnosed with cancer and sought treatment for it, with help of comforting medical personnel after she shared her fears.

Her close friend and fellow Nguzu wife, Anna Munamonga, alias Mwiza, shared her grief on Facebook in a short message, accompanied heartbreak and weeping emojis.

“Wanga shuwa monga Boza, RIP,[Wanga my friend, as if it’s a lie]” she wrote on her wall with sliding pictures herself and Mai Guru, with Rock of Ages song in the background.

Socialist Party leader Fred M’membe also shared his condolences message:
