Police stop HH from having in-door meetings with UPND officials in Mongu

Police have blocked opposition UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema from having in-door meetings with his party officials in Western province.
Mr. Hakainde who was in Mongu, the provincial capital of Western province wanted to have meetings with some party officials as he embarks on reorganizing his party. But Police are said to have blocked the meetings.
The Police according to insiders felt uncomfortable with the opposition leader having meetings in the region because blowing tension between Barotseland activists and the Zambian government. The people of Western province have resolved to revert to separate from the rest of Zambia as it was before Independence.
Police have also stopped UPND from having public rallies in Lusaka, the Zambian capital citing security reasons especially in highly populated areas.
HH has announced that he is embarking on public rallies countrywide to thank the people for voting for UPND and also to point out the promises made by PF.
