Some Police Officers deployed by the State at former president Edgar Lungu have been withdrawn.
According to a circular seen by Zambian Eye the officers have called back to Force Headquarters.
But Police Spokesperson Danny Mwale says other officers will replace those withdrawn.
“The Officers appearing on the message circulating on social media platforms have been withdrawn and deployed to perform other duties elsewhere,” Mwale says.
Last week the State Armed police raided Lungu’s residence with view to search the premises for alleged stolen vehicles alleged to be held by former First Lady Esther Lungu.
The Officers were blocked that they could not search the residence of a former president who enjoyed immunity from prosecution.
