Police Officer shots Wife, turns AK47 on himself

A 40 year-old police officer Samuel Bwalya has committed suicide after shooting dead his 29 year-old wife Dee Chileshe.
Police Spokesperson Charity Munganga confirmed that the officer who was on duty at Kamanga Police Post phoned the wife to go to the post and as she was approaching, he followed her whilst armed with an AK 47 riffle. He then shot at her and later turned the firearm on himself.
The incidence happened today July 24, 2014 around 12:00 hours at Kamanga Police Post in Lusaka.
The motive behind the shooting is yet to be established. The bodies of the deceased are lying in UTH mortuary awaiting
postmortem.
