Nevers Mumba in police cells

Police in Lusaka has arrested MMD faction leader Nevers Mumba and charged him with criminal traspass at ZNBC Studios.

Dr Mumba has been detained at Woodlands stadium where he was formally arrested after he was picked from his Kabulonga house.

Speaking from the police cell, Dr Mumba said he will go on hunger strike to seek justice until the court hears Hichilema’s election petition.

Earlier armed police officers surrounded his house before conducting a search.

UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema and his Vice president for Administration Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba rashed at Mumba’s residents after learning that police had surrounded his house.

On Thursday night around 9pm Dr Mumba stormed ZNBC studios to complain over a news story which he disputed. He also warned the reporter against being used by the PF.
