The two main political players in Zambia have agreed to rule out the ZCID from leading the national dialogue and have instead agreed that the Church takes the role.

Addressing the press briefing shortly after the Minister of Religious Affairs and National Guidance, UPND Chairperson Mutale Nalumango told journalists that ZCID cannot lead the dialogue because doing so would be asking the players in the game to moderate themselves.

Nalumango explained that both the minister representing the PF and UPND agreed to have the dialogue led by the church because it was a more neutral body than ZCID.

Speaking at the same function, religious affairs and national guidance minister Godfredah Summaili told journalists that difference that exist between the two rival parties in their pursuit for national dialogue has drastically reduced.

She explained that the meeting she had with the UPND resolved to have the church lead the national dialogue.

  1. THIS IS A MISTAKE. NEVER TRUST UPND. BECAUSE , NEXT THEY WILL START DISCREDITING SOME CHURCH MOTHER BODIES. REMEMBER THE PRESS STATEMENT ALLEGEDLY ISSUED BY THE THREE MOTHER BODIES VIA TRESFOR MPUNDU, AND ATTENDED BY UPND? SOME MOTHER BODIES DISSOCIATED THEMSELVES FROM THE PRESS STATEMENT. UPND WAS HAPPY WITH THAT PRESS STATEMENT, BUT PF WAS OPPOSED. SO THESE PARTIES CANNOT BE TRUSTED.
