Our view:
The tribalism exhibited by Cadres at the PF Secretariat yesterday is threatening the country’s unite and unacceptable to say the least. This to a large extent with thuggery costed PF elections in 2021.
The Zambian Eye can bet that if the PF want to trade on this path then they can forget ever ruling Zambia at least in this generation.
The leadership of PF must come out clean to condemn and distance itself from this toxic unZambian behavior.
Why should their political difference with Hakainde Hichilema be attributed to all Tongas? What kind of backward thinking is this?
We are actually surprised that Raphael Nakachinda who is their CEO did not immediately condemn this action by his Cadres. Does this mean he approves of this toxic behavior.
Nakachinda himself is Tonga by tribe from Monze a place called Nabukuyu east of Monze town where his father is buried. How does this action make him feel?
Is it now a sin or evil to be a Tonga? Why should Tongas as a people be made to account for Hichilema”s leadership action? What has happened to our country? What country do we want to build? We can asure you this will haunt PF if not properly handled.
We thought PF learnt something from their humiliating defeat in 2021 because of this kind of behavior. This we believe is a demeaning to Edgar Lungu who publicly apologized to Zambians for having had such happen under his leadership.
Much as we don’t agree the manner Hakainde and his league treated Edgar, bringing in the whole tribe is not only being unreasonable but it is madness.
We have said this because we had hoped the PF leadership would come out clean this issue but it is now 24 hours nothing.
Zambia has for over 60 years been a peaceful United Nation and it must be maintained as such.
