PF shouldn’t be excited, 2016 will be totally different – Moono

Former ABZ National Chairman Dexter Zemba Moono has advised the ruling Patriotic Front not be carried away by its victories in the recent Parliamentary By-Elections that it will win the 2016 tripartite elections.

Moono told SKY FM News in Choma today that the 2016 General Elections will be totally different ball game from the By-Elections considering that the ruling party has an upper hand in by-elections.

Moono disclosed that the UPND Membership countrywide  is contend by the fact that the 2016 elections will be different ball game and the ruling party will not enjoy the same advantage it enjoys during by-elections.

The former ABZ Chairman disclosed that the opposition UPND is therefore not worried by the dismal performance in the just ended By-Elections were the opposition party only managed to scope one seat of the four Parliamentary By- Elections.

He stressed that in Zambia it is very difficult for the opposition to win By-Elections as the ruling party tends to have an upper using the advantage of Government machinery and resources

Moono disclosed that UPND Members have not gone to relax as they were busy mobilising and strategising for the forthcoming 2016 General Elections and added that the party is aware of what was before them.

He disclosed that the recent By Election has taught the party a lesson and will build on those lapses and ensure that victory in 2016 comes to UPND.

Moono further disclosed that no one in UPND was having cool nights as everyone who loves the party was thinking of one or two things to do to ensure that the party gets geared up for the any elections.

Moono further stressed that recent By- Election though being won by the ruling party were not an indication that the PF can defend their title in 2016 as the mood in the Country is a revolutional to completely change governments as the PF has failed to live to its expectations

He disclosed that Mr Sata was President because many Zambians decided to vote for an opposition leader in 2011 who was so much focused on promises to change the economy and people`s lives in 90 days and even after three years nothing has been delivered people were living in the Country as if they were refuges fearing to speak even when their President was sick and even speak out of the bad governance of the recent leaders

Moono disclosed that the ruling party was performing badly due to the fact that it was failing to control funds through it huge cabinet which was forcing Government to continuance borrow to meet its operational costs.

He further disclosed that even some state firms such Zesco, Zamtel  were not performing too well because of no proper financial control adding that even huge funds which the Government was collecting everyday from RSTA and RDA which were supposed to have been used to mend roads in the Country .has not be used to its purpose

He disclosed that these are some of the areas where the ruling PF will fail to convince the people of Zambia as what had happened to the 90 days promises

Moono disclosed that time for the ruling party was running out compounded with the internal leadership wrangles that the party has of late engulfed in are signs that the ruling Party was not  heading anywhere and would not be in a position to deliver to the people of Zambia by 2016
