PF shoots down constitution motion

The PF government has shot down a motion that seek to urge government to release a roadmap for the enactment of a new constitution.

After protracted debate that started on Friday, the motion that was presented by Mazabuka opposition UPND Member of Parliament Garry Nkombo was shot down during a vote Tuesday evening around 9pm.

69 MPs voted against the motion, 42 voted in favor while 2 absconded.

Parliament has since adjourned for a recess.
