PF leading in Feira by-election

Counting of votes has continued in  Feira Constituency, of Luangwa  district where residents had gone to elect their new Member of Parliament (MP).

And report from our correspondence in Feira indicates that the ruling Patriotic Front (PF) has taken an early lead in the election results counted so far.

According to official Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) results the PF through its candidate, Patrick Ngoma is leading by over 400 votes from the 12 polling stations declared. There are about 31 polling stations in Feira constituency.

Full results are expected to be announced in the early hours of Friday June 21, 2013. Earlier on Thursday voter aparthy had characterised the  voting with only a handful of people managing to cast their ballots.
