The ruling Patriotic Front (PF) has won the Bahati parliamentary by-election with a landslide.

The Bahati seat fell vacant following the expulsion of Harry Kalaba, who elected not to recontest the seat or field a candidate.

The PF’s Charles Chalwe won with a landslide of 11481 votes while his opponents Bwalya Justine of UPND got 2381 votes, Clement Mwila of UPPZ 1337, Chabwe Emmanuel of the FDD polled 205 and Lukwesa Isaac of PAC polled 176 Votes.

And Chalwe says he is thankful to the people of Bahati and assures them of fulfilling his promises.
