PF commences disciplinary proceedings against Masebo, Munkombwe

The Patriotic Front is to commence disciplinary proceedings against its Chongwe Member of Parliament Sylivia Masebo and former Southern Province Minister Daniel Munkombwe, reports ZNBC.

The two senior PF officials openly endorsed and campaigned for the opposition UPND during the just ended Presidential election.

PF Secretary General Davis Chama has told ZNBC News in an interview that the PF Members defied the party’s rules – an act that clearly shows that they wanted the PF to be tossed out of power.

Mr. Chama says the senior Party officials should have opted to resign from the PF on moral grounds than openly defy the party’s principles by campaigning for the opposition UPND.

PF Kasama Central Member of Parliament Geophrey Mwamba had also endorsed and campaigned for UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema.

On Monday 26th January, 2015, President Edgar Lungu warned that he will not tolerate indiscipline in the party especially from senior party officials.
