PF Central Committee meet

The ruling Patriotic Front Central Committee has held its central committee meeting on Sunday, May 26.

The Central Committee met in Lusaka and was chaired by Party President Edgar Lungu who is also the Republican President.

The party’s highest organ was meeting for the first time since the suspension of Founder members Julius Komaki and Kelvin Bwalya Fube by the Lusaka Province leadership which recommended their expulsion.

The party’s CC was also expected to consider the application made by former United Party for National Development (UPND) Vice President who resigned to join the ruling PF on April 23.

And President Lungu is expected to chair a special cabinet meeting tomorrow, Monday May 27 at State House. Some of the expected issues to be discussed includes the recent liquidation of Konkola Copper Mine (KCM) by the PF government through ZCCM-IH and implementation of Sales Tax depending on the resolution of the cabinet meeting.

The Cabinet will also receive a report on the resolutions of the Nation Dialogue Forum (NDF) by Justine Minister Given Lubinda
