PF caught in the web of lies over Bill 10

Justice Minister Given Lubinda has confirmed that Bill 10 will be tabled on the floor of the house in its original form without amendments.

This is in total contrast to what Deputy Parliamentary Whip Tutwa Ngulube has been going round telling people around the country.

The opposition NDC charges that Zambians should not be deceived saying the PF has no good intentions for the country.

”They are determined to mutilate the republican constitution in order to grant President Edgar Lungu dictatoriol powers heading into the 2021 General elections.”

”They want to return to power by hook or crook using any means possible, even if that means destroying Zambia as a democracy,” states the NDC headed by Chishimba Kambwili one of the founders of PF.

  1. While I don’t subscribe to the idea of bill 10, I’m equally ignonorant of the allegations by the opposition that it’s ment to prolong Lungu’s stay in office. Why can’t those opposed to the bill publish the clauses in the bill they feel are not good for the country. After the 2016 elections there were very loud calls for constitutional ammendments with some opposition leaders even threatening to boycott the 2021 elections if these were not done. What has now changed that has made the current constitution so attractive? Do we really know what we want as Zambian? Are we trully opposed to the ammendments or the process.

    • @Wakishale…The reason why zambia does not move forward is because of people like you. The bad clauses in Bill 10 have been widely shared if you cared to read. You are taking us two steps backwards.

  2. Wakishale, Wynter Kabimba on Prime TV talked of PF sneaking in 2 articles that were rejected by NDF into Bill 10. Enacting Bill 10 into law is like issuing a blank cheque, don’t you think?
Mind you, the same former Justice Minister said that current leaders are heartless when asked to comment on the issue of government retirees camped at Justice Ministry..

  3. people of zambia wake up, the country’s economy has gone to leaders who only want to benefit, we have heard and seen with our own eyes.

  4. If Given Lubinda insists on tabling this draconian Bill 10 before Parliament this February, then please work to ensure that MPs from the opposition, independent MPs and some PF MPs vote against this Bill 10. Any serious MP who doesnt want to be responsible for mutilating the constitution of Zambia to serve partisan and personal interests should vote this Bill 10 down. Any normal listening government would have withdrawn this Bill 10 by now. We are dealing with an arrogant Minister of Justice and a ruling PF not willing to hear how the people of Zambia prefer to conduct a credible constitution review process in order to have appropriate outcomes.
