PF cadres attack UPND MP damaging his vehicle

Cadres suspected to be from ruling Patriotic Front (PF) have attacked Kennedy Hamudulu the opposition UPND Member of Parliament for Siavonga in Feira.

According to UPND Deputy Secretary General Kuchunga Simusamba, the MP and other officials were attacked at the market and his vehicle has been damaged. The cadres arrived at the scene riding on the vehicle Registration Number AAX 1551 a vehicle Simusamba alleges belongs to a PF cadre Ashwell Kampengele who is Lusaka District Commissioner.

There have been incidences of violence alleged to be perpetrated by PF cadres on the people perceived to be critical of the PF government.

The people of Feira in Luangwa District goes to the polls on Thursday, June 20, 2013 to elect their MP after the resignation of Patrick Ngoma who has joined PF.
