Green Buffaloes Coach Patrick Phiri has been roped as Namibia National Team technical Director on a 1 Year contract, reports Zambian Eye Sports Correspondent

Phiri who has been in talks with the Namibian Football Association for some time now has been hesitant to step down as the GBFC mentor as it is believed he was the highest paid coach in the Zambian Premier.

It is confirmed that Phiri finally agreed to the brave Warriors offer and has since resigned as Green Buffaloes head coach after a mutual understanding with the Zambia Army.

The veteran coach with Buffaloes has made an unconvincing start to the Super Division season perched just outside the top eight with 10 points after 8 matches.

Therefore sources within the club revealed that his assistant Bilton Musonda is poised to ascend to the helm of the technical bench for the army side.
