Parts of Zambia to be flooded

Some parts of Zambia will experience some floods, the country’s Meteorological Department has warned.

In a statement below made available to Zambian Eye, the Meteorological Department says the country will record heavy rains that will result in floods.

RAINFALL AND FLOOD ADVISORY

The Zambia Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rainfall till Saturday, leading to flash floods in the following areas: Sinazongwe, Siavonga, Gwembe, Mulobezi, Itezhi Tezhi, Mwinilunga, Mufumbwe, Kazungula, Kalomo, Mumbwa, Isoka, Nakonde, Katete and Serenje.

Communities in the projected areas are advised to take precautionary measures to prevent damage to Infrastructure and other flood related accidents. The Meteorological Department will continue monitoring the situation and advise accordingly.
