PAC kicked out of opposition alliance

The alliance of 10 opposition political parties has announced that it has part company with the People’s Alliance for Change (PAC) for allegedly working with the ruling Patriotic Front.

But PAC leader Andyford Banda, when reached for a comment by Zambian Eye, laughed off the allegations by the opposition alliance but could not comment further, instead promising to issue a comprehensive statement at a press conference tomorrow.

Alliance chairperson for media and finance committees Sean Tembo announced the decision to part ways with the PAC this morning during a press briefing.

Tembo claimed PAC leader Andyford Banda had been frustrating the the alliance’s efforts by secretly working with the patriotic front.
