The Andyford Banda-led People’s Alliance for Change (PAC) has with immediate effect appointed Mwansa Chama as its spokeperson. Chama is the losing candidate for PAC in the recent Roan parliamentary by-lection in Luanshya.

According to a statement made available to Zambian Eye, Banda says the party is ready to give young people a platform to exploit their potential.

“Mwansa Chama holds a certificate in committee clerk, certificate in management studies, diploma in management studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration. He has also served in the Ministry of Local Government as committee clerk,” the statement reads in part

“As a party we are ready to give young people key leadership positions in order to explore their potential. When we were doing campaigns in Roan, I saw Mwansa Chama’s passion and potential to be part of our media team and push the brand of the party to the whole country. We are glad that he has accepted to take up this role. I challenge young people to come forward and be part of the change that this country desperate needs. The county is lacking visionary and dedicated leadership and we believe the time has now come to overhaul the system.”

The party also announced that Chama will be working alongside the PAC media department, which includes journalists and social media campaign managers.

“The PAC has started the restructuring process of all departments and structures in preparation for 2021 general elections,”
