One dies in a Road Traffic Accident

Longacres traffic on Saturday recorded a Fatal Road Traffic Accident in which a driver lost control of a motor vehicle, due to excessive speed, and went on to hit into a wall fence and later plunged into a drainage.

The Accident occurred at around 03:20 hours along Los Angeles road near Lusaka Club opposite Saturnia House, while the driver was moving from the direction of West to East.

Police Spokesperson Rae Hamoonga said that involved was a female identified as Faith Mukeyo aged 30 of Woodlands, who sustained multiple injuries and died on the spot.

He says that Mukeyo was driving a Toyota Rav 4 registration number ABR 4499 which was extensively damaged.

Hamoonga says also on board was a male passenger identified as Mazuba Hankuku aged 41, of plot number 24388 Libala South, who sustained a swollen left eye and neck, dislocated right hand, cuts on both hands and general body pains.

He is admitted to UTH.
