Prominent banker and businessman Justin Chinyanta has been confirmed as the keynote speaker of the Nyamuka Zambia National Business Conference to be held in Lusaka next week.
Mr Chinyanta is the Chief Executive Officer and co-founding shareholder of Loita Group, the Mauritius based holding company for Loita Capital Partners International, a pan-African investment banking firm.
Mr Chinyanta will address some 300 entrepreneurs at the high-profile event at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre in Lusaka on Thursday, July 30, and will set the tone of the conference by sharing his insights on what it means to be an African entreprenuer.
Other speakers on the day include Fisho Mwale (Yalelo), Maybin Mudenda (Kurema/Insizwe), Joseph Nkaanga (CITIMOP), Lee-Ann Singh, Miyanda Maimbo Katiwa (Prosoft), Stewart Simposon (Manzi). The closing plenary speakers are still to be announced.
Mr Chinyanta has been involved in the financial markets of Sub-Sahara Africa for more than 25 years covering commercial and investment banking, and in this capacity, has played a leading role in developing African capital markets and debt instruments (focusing on structured trade and project finance facilities) for Loita’s clients in the region exceeding US$3 billion.
He is a non-executive board member of Ecobank Malawi, for which he is chair of its Risk and Credit Committee, JSE-listed infrastructure firm Group 5; and board chair of AAR Credit Kenya and Uganda. He serves as vice chair of the Zambia Bond and Derivatives Exchange (BADEX), executive vice president (Southern Africa) for the Africa Business Roundtable, and is one of the pioneer members of General Colin Powell and Ms Madeleine Albright’s Initiative for Global Development Frontier 100 CEOs. In April 2013, he was appointed to the Duke of Edinburgh’s Commonwealth Study Conference Leaders Forum.
The Nyamuka Zambia National Business Conference at the Mulungushi Conference Centre in Lusaka on July 30, 2015 is focussed on sharing knowledge, skills and tools that are vital for business success.
The conference is open to members of the public and costs K200. Tickets are available through Computicket at Shoprite stores nationwide.
The event will bring together entrepreneurs and small and medium enterprises to enrich their business journeys, helping them move towards becoming the transformative enterprises of tomorrow who can go on to create sustainable jobs and wealth to help grow the national economy.
