Now ZRA targets ‘Post’ printers

The Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) has locked up the premises of Mipal Printer Limited situated on Lusaka Panganani and Lumumba Roads, in a probe over alleged tax evasion and smuggling.

ZRA conducted the entry and search exercise as provided for by section 9 of the Customs and Excise Act.

The ZRA search discovered the Mipal Printers has been printing Newspapers for the Post Newspapers whose asserts have been sized over unpaid tax.

ZRA officers have since locked MIPAL Printers and secured the premises awaiting the availability of senior company officials.

A ZNBC News crew that visited the Printing Firm was informed that the search took place Wednesday night following a whistle blower’s alert.
