PF faction leader Miles Sampa has filed for an application for injunction in the Lusaka High Court to restrain leader of another faction Edgar Lungu from ‘masquerading’ as party president.

Sampa, through his lawyer Makebi Zulu, has sued PF secretary general Bridget Atanga and Lungu and is seeking a declaration that the party general conference of November 30 be null and void.

Sampa is also seeking an order of interim injunction to restrain Lungu from presenting a purported certificate of adoption to the Electoral Commission of Zambia.

The leadership tussle in the ruling party has worsened after two factions emerged from the much anticipated general conference, with each claiming to be dully elected.
