No more CAF matches for Green Eagles’ Independence Stadium

Green Eagles’ Independence Stadium in Choma will not host any more CAF matches should they qualify to the latter stages of the CAF Confederations Cup.

This is because a number of things failed the minimum criteria of club licensing and the pitch was one of them, according to latest communication from CAF.

The continental football governing body had actually not given the Zambia National Service-sponsored side the go ahead to use the facility when they played Young Buffaloes of Eswatini last week.

The Zambian Eye understands that the Green Eagles executive committee has since written to Red Arrows Football Club requesting to use Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka.
