Police officer who was allegedly assaulted by Nkombo

Mazabuka UPND Member of Parliament Garry Nkombo is expected to face charges for allegedly assaulting a police officer in the execution of his duties.

And Speaker of the National Assembly Dr. Patrick Matibini has ruled that UPND chief whip Gary Nkombo and his fellow Members of Parliament were out of order to storm out of the House following a ruling that Mr. Nkombo withdraws an inappropriate statement he uttered on the floor of the House after being confrontational by the Speaker.

Mr Nkombo is alleged to have assaulted Constable Spider Ngoma during a confrontation at a filling station in the Chilanga area in Lusaka last weekend.

  2. That allegation will not stand in Court. Besides the Policeman has no witness to testify against the MP.The Video Footage and Mrs Nkombo will testify that the Policeman was drunk and was never assaulted by the Mp.There is no evidence to show that the MP assaulted the Cop. This is a waste of the Court’s time.

  3. I am shocked, to say the least. The Policeman was drunk and was molesting a free citizen and the citizen becomes an offender? Instead of disciplining that Policeman who may have forgotten what he did by now? This story actually reminds me of yet another story where a Policewoman was attacked by one Kaiser Zulu in full view of the so-called Republican President Lungu and a parked Heroes Stadium sectors! Zulu is not facing any charge and Mr Nkombo is facing a charge? Really? PF your days are numbered because God himself does not allow such INJUSTICES ON HIS CREATURES.

  5. People should not forget that in the first place a gun is issued to a police man to deal with idiots like Garry who do not respect the law. The Cop was attacked. The only thing that protected him from Garry s advances at that time was the AK 47. He is actually a very luck chap. His children and wife should thank the cop. its clear in the video that his wife was restraining from further attacking the cop. Self defence is a always a winner in such cases.

    • If he wants to test his madness , let him try the same stupidity with CopS in South Africa, DRC OR even the United States. Even his wife would not have had time to record the event.

  6. I wonder if our people in authority still use wisdom to carry out their duties or there just told or given instruction.

A wise person will leave Nkombo alone and discipline the Police officer who was drunk.Did the POLICE OFFICER has the medical report to prove that he was assaulted?if not please don’t wast your time on this do other beneficial works.
