Nkana Coach put to rest as Kalampa Mourns

The late Nkana Football club coach Masauso Mwale has been put to rest at Kansenshi cemetery in Ndola. Mwale who died on friday evening in a road traffic accident was on a an ascendant after seeing the club scoop the League Championship and do very well on the international circuit.

Ndola came to a stand-still as it bid farewell to its football hero. Nkana FC club is a Kitwe based club that plays in the MTN/FAZ Super Division and are currently the league leaders.

Mwale, 50, died in a road accident on the Ndola-Kitwe dual carriage way on Friday night as he was driving to Kitwe to join the Nkana camp ahead of the Confederation Cup Group B encounter against Sewe Sport of Ivory Coast.

He was pronounced dead upon arrival at Thompson Hospital in Luanshya. Coach Massy as Mwale was fondly known is survived by a wife, Matilda, and six children.
