Niece burnt for eating at neighbor’s place

A-4- year-old girl has allegedly been burnt on her palms by her aunt for eating nshifma from a neighbor’s house in Lusaka’s Gripisi Township in Meanwood

Police Assistant Spokesperson Godfrey Chilabi confirmed the development saying a hot spoon was allegedly used to assault the girl.

Chilabi said the girl was locked up inside the house before being assaulted.

He said the incident happened on Friday December 2 around 20 hours when the victim returned home.

The girl has since been taken to a safe house while her Aunt is in police custody.
