Embattled opposition MMD president Nevers Mumba has now expelled the party’s National Secretary Mwansa Mbulakulima.

No reasons have been given for the expulsion. A letter of expulsion was sent to Mbulakulima through Dr Mumba’s Body Guard.

Mbulakulima has dismissed the move saying it is an exercise in futility. He said he has not done anything to be expelled from the party.

The former ruling party has been going through confusions from the time Dr Mumba took over. Mbulakulima becomes the third National Secretary after Major Kachingwe, Muhabi Lungu to be expelled from the party.

The latest confusion has arisen following the decision by Dr Mumba to expel Lunte Member of Parliament Felix Mutati.

Mbulakulima is opposed to the expulsions and suspensions of party members.

He has also distanced himself from the submission filed in court in which some party members led by Lunte Member of Parliament Felix Mutati, have petition demanding a convention.

The petition has been filed by Mutati, Ikelengi Member of Parliament Elijah Mutima and Lufwanyama MP Anne Chungu.

The document filed in the Constitutional court seeks an order that the party’s convention be held on or before April 1st.

Mbulakulima said he never gave an instruction to lawyers who were representing the party in court over the case. He has announced that he will be reporting the lawyers to Law Association of Zambia.
