Nevers Mumba’s Boy threatens Muhabi, NEC Members of arrest
As MMD youths, we have taken great exception to the behaviour of former MMD National Secretary Muhabi Lungu and some of his cohorts following the Supreme Court ruling that declared Dr Nevers Mumba as the MMD presidential candidate.
Muhabi has exhibited highly irrational behaviour which largely borders on contempt of court and shows high degree of desperation.
From the day the Supreme Court ruling was pronounced, Muhabi has gone on a war path disregarding the ruling delivered by the highest court in the land.
Over the weekend, a desperate Muhabi held a press conference at which he issued disparaging remarks against the judiciary and alleged that Dr Mumba presented a fraudulent certificate to the returning officer for the presidential election.
We wish to warn Muhabi that he is playing a very dangerous game by attempting to undermine the Judiciary. The Supreme Court ruling was explicit and it issued clear instructions to Muhabi and his cohorts not to interfere in Dr Mumba’s presidential activities.
We are also aware that Muhabi is spearheading the holding of a clandestine meeting which he purports will be a NEC meeting of the MMD scheduled for Tuesday, December 23 2014.
We wish to offer friendly counsel to Muhabi and his collaborators that holding any such meeting is illegal and all those that will turn up at this illegal meeting are imposters and therefore risk being arrested.
As MMD youths, we wish to remind Muhabi that MMD is anchored on the principle of rule of law and respects the court’s decisions and autonomy.
We will not allow Muhabi’s desperation to strip the courts of its respect and credibility. Muhabi should be told in no uncertain terms that he is a life loser who has achieved absolutely nothing in his life.
A look at Muhabi’s life reveals only a catalogue of failure and miscalculated political decisions.
He has nothing worth talking about except the fact that he depends on the goodwill of his wife and his father for survival.
As it stands, Muhabi is a destitute and a street adult. He desperately wants to return to the MMD Secretariat because he is jobless and therefore useless.
