NDC settles for Joseph Chishala

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) and its alliance partners have adopted Engineer Joseph Chishala as candidate for the forthcoming Roan Constituency parliamentary by-election.

According to the NDC media team, Chishala, 39, has been a resident of Luanshya for over 30 years.

Chishala was unveiled as the party’s candidate in Luanshya today and is confident of putting up a strong fight for the Roan seat.

The NDC candidate is not new to Zambian politics.

NDC has also appointed MCC Menyani Zulu and UPND Copperbelt Provincial Chairman Elisha Matambo as campaign managers, while Charles Kabwita will deputise.

And former Member of Parliament for Roan, Chishimba kambwili, who has escorted the candidate to fill in nominations, is confident that the people of Roan will vote for Chishala as the first ever NDC parliamentarian.

Voting in the Roan Constituency parliamentary by-election takes place on April 11 next month.

Filling in of nominations is underway.
