Nawakwi appoints former MMD Secretary Yotam Mtayachalo

Former MMD Copperbelt Provincial Information and Publicity Secretary, Yotam Mtayachalo has been appointed FDD Provincial mobilization chairperson for the Copperbelt Province, Party’s Spokesperson Antonio Mwanza has confirmed

Mr. Mtayachalo who recently defected from MMD to FDD is the former National Energy Sector Union (NESAWU) General Secretary a union that represents ZESCO employees .He is a Human Resource Practioner and businessman.

He stood in the 2012 parliamentary by-elections in Chama North on the MMD ticket .He is the chairperson of the Chama Senga Culture Association (CASEKA).

Others appointed to the 24 man committee includes Mr. William Wilima who is now the Provincial Mobilization Secretary. Mr Wilima who contested the 2001 parliamentary election for Bwana Mkubwa under UNIP is the former Vice President of NESAWU and former MMD Ndola District chairperson.

The treasurer is Ms Margaret Mutandwa a veteran banker who served as bank manager for Barclays Bank in various branches. Ms Mutandwa who is a business woman once stood on Heritage Party as member of parliament for Ndola Central Constituency in the 2001 general elections.

Violet Bwalya was appointed Women’s chair person. Ms Bwalya worked as Assistant Manager For ZAMTEL and is a former Committee Member of the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ)
