NAPSA Stars stumbles, Nkana players test positive for COVID-19 in Tanzania

NAPSA Stars who were expected to collect maximum points at home in the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Confederation Cup Group B match have gone down to Cotton Sport of Cameroon by a goal to nil.

The Pensioners currently sit bottom of the table with one point and Coton Sport are now on 6 points.

Cotton Sport midfielder Daman Abdouraman scored early in the first half from inside the 18 yard area. The ball came from Cotonsport’s first corner of the game.

Apparently, Coton Sport head coach Souleymanou Aboubakar has emphasized that there are no easy games at this stage of competition ahead of the Matchday 3 CAF Confederation Cup tie against NAPSA Stars.

Speaking during the first pre-match conference ahead of the match, Coach Aboubakar stated the importance of collecting a positive result.

“Our ambition is to go as far as the final. If you look at the group, there is no easy team. As a result, if you get even one point. It’s already an advantage,” Coach Aboubakar said.

Coton Sport team captain Oukine Felix has said that he and his teammates are determined to collect at least a point from the game.

Meanwhile, Zambian Champions Nkana were away at Namungo FC in Tanzania in their Group D CAF.

Apparently, the reports filtering through are that some Nkana players have tested positive to Covid-19 ahead of their match against Namungo FC in Tanzania.

Sources have informed that it is believed to be an act of sabotage and that Nkana officials have implored the rest of the players not to go into the pitch for the match.

In Austria, Patson Daka has scored a hat trick in eleven minutes as Salzburg lead SK Sturm Graz 3-0.
