Mysterious coffin found at a door step

Misheck Kabwe a farmer in Mutimpa farming block woke up to a shock when he found a small coffin dumped at his door step.

Kabwe aged 50, of unmarked farm number of Mutimpa farming area, reported to Kasompe police post yesterday at 07:30hrs that unknown people dumped a small coffin covered with a white material at his farm.

Copperbelt Police Commanding Officer Peacewell Mweemba who confirmed the development said the incidence occurred on 9th February, 2023 between 22:00hrs and 05:00 hours of yesterday in unmarked farm in Mutimpa farming area

He said brief facts are that the reporter woke up in the early morning of of yesterday, 10th February, 2023 around 05:00hrs with the view of going to his charcoal burning activity.

When he went outside the house at his farm, he found a coffin wrapped in a white cloth dumped at his door.

Mweemba said police officers were dispatched to the scene.

Upon arrival, they found the coffin, and when it was opened, the police found one white egg and one breakable plate.

Kabwe has no idea of the person who could have dumped the said coffin and the motive behind the same.

The coffin is being kept at the police station, while an Inquiry file has been opened, Mweemba said.
