HH welcomes Mulenga

Late President Michael Sata’s son Mulenga said his father’s body is turning in his grave looking at the way the PF has been hijacked.

Mulenga who today announced his defection to the UPND said his late father could never have imagined what is now happening to the party he founded.

He said the decision to leave the PF was a tough, emotional and difficult one to make but stated that it was the right thing to do.

He said morale among party members is now at an all-time low due to what he termed lack of vision.

Mulenga said the PF today is not what it was when late President Sata died in 2014 and that the current PF has been left to the hijackers.

He said the Lungu administration has completely quashed all the economic gains the country made and eroded the investor confidence.

Mulenga observed that the Lungu administration is yet to give a roadmap out of the current economic quagmire.

He also charged that President Lungu does not have a clear understanding of separation of power.

Mulenga said sadly, all what has now been erode by the rising cost of living which has led to increased poverty.

He charged that President Sata’s grand infrastructure programmes such as the Link Zambia, L 400 and Pave Zambia projects have all been mismanaged by the Lungu administration.

And welcoming Mulenga, UPND Vice President Geoffrey Mwamba Bwalya said there is nothing left of the PF since all founding members have already left.

Mulenga becomes the third members of President Lungu’s cabinet to dump the party after Obvious Mwaliteta and Keith Mukata.

    • What’s happening in PF is exactly the same as that in MMD.Only that PF is enjoying the encumbacy of being in govt, otherwise if PF was in opposition it could even be worse than MMD.I don’t know what the Zambia Reports and Richard Sakala’s Zambia Daily Nation will have to say about this, knowing that they’re under the pay-roll of their pay master Rupiah. Is it the fault of ECL as they have portrayed Nevers to be the causer of the percieved wrangles in MMD.In MMD the causer is Nevers,in PF the causer is not ECL.-What biasness and hypocricy is this?.

  3. At one time us in PF also received mwana Levy Mwanawasa in the name of Patrick Mwanawasa thinking that the guy will win us a seat in kafulafuta but alas the guy was beaten by the guy from MMD.Now imagine if PF were to win the elections and i mean imagine what are these guys like Mulenga Sata goin say about PF,are they goin to come back and claim that they are the founders of the party? In politics, there are calculations and mis calculations ask Mama Alice Simango from livingstone, She has been UPND.PF,UPND,PF and now she is UPND again. In 2006,2008 us in PF were taught a lesson as sometimes number are nothing.we wish Mulenga Sata all the best. And this thing of saying ati my father shud be turning in grave ala shud stop, how many times is the father goin turn in the grave. When Guy Scott was fighting Edgar lungu, he said the same thing.Bushe nemfwa nanyena ni campaign issue.Let us hope dead pipo turns in their graves.

  6. The elections are in August and the 50 plus one percent threshold has been introduced into Zambian politics. There is bound to be some movement of a number of politicians from one party to another especially when parliament dissolves. To think otherwise would be pretentious. So the movement of Sata to UPND should not surprise anyone. Sat is a normal person whose colors of opportunism are coming out. And I hope HH is taking note of all these guys who are lining up now with a hope of being given ministerial positions if he wins. People like Sichinga, Christine Kaseba, Maureen Mwanawasa, Miles Sampa, GBM et al have one thing in common “opportunism”. Kabimba put it very well, these people are only concerned about their pockets. What happened to principles? But having saved this it does not make sense to stick with such parties like Heritage, FDD, NAREP, APC, ZDDM, Mulongoti’s , Rainbow and sorry to sad to say even MMD. It is total waste of time. Ifintu ni PF or UPND.

    • This is democracy, those that are leaving PF and MMD are doing so on principle. Maybe you need to remain in PF on your principles as well.

  10. What HH doesn’t realized is that all those coming in are disgruntled power hungry chaps who failed to wrestle it from Lungu and very soon they’ll try to take over UPND, especially if HH loses. Watch this space!
