My father is alive – Mulenga Sata

Mulenga Sata, the son of Zambian President Michael Sata has disputed reports from the US Media that his father had died.

Mulenga who is the first Son of President Sata has told the Media in Lusaka Friday, September 26, 2014 that his father is alive. He said he spoke to his father in the morning after he read about the reports.

He has assured the nation that President Sata was alive and will issue a press statement in the day.

Vice president Guy Scott also dismissed the reports saying President Sata was normal and health.

Responding to a question from opposition UPND Member of Parliament for Monze Central Jack Mwiimbu, Dr. Scott said his boss was alive.

On why President Sata failed to address the scheduled UN meeting on Wednesday, Dr. Scott said it was not manditory for a Head of State to speak at the UN General Assembily.
