Mutati attack dogs fail to harm Nevers

The leadership wrangles that have plagued the Movement for Multiparty Democracy in the last three years almost turned violent today after a group of youths from the Felix Mutati faction stormed United Voice Radio in Lusaka to try and harm Nevers Mumba, the leader of a rival faction.

The youths who were led by MMD Die Hard national youth coordinator Gerald Chiluba, however failed in their mission as the security at United Voice Radio drove them away from the premises.

The drunk youths arrived at the radio station at around 11:00 hours whilst Dr. Mumba was on air.

The cadres, who are arrived at St. Pauls UCZ Church singing songs that Mutati is MMD president and that no matter what the courts rule, to them he is their president, ran into Dr. Mumba’s security who blocked them from entering the radio station.

Upon realizing that they were intimidated by the alert MMD Presidential security, the youths decided to flee the premises.

Dr. Mumba, upon being told what was transpiring outside said it is unfortunate that instead of encouraging the youths to do constructive things, Mutati and Nakachinda were using them to do dirty jobs for him which they would never send their children to do.

“We have heard that my brother Mutati has sent some youths to attack me. It is very unfortunate that instead of encouraging and empowering these youths to do constructive things, he is sending them to do ugly things which his own children can’t do,” Dr. Mumba said.

And after the radio interview, MMD treasurer Elizabeth Chitika who was part of Dr. Nevers Mumba’s delegation charged that Mutati is panicking because he knows his time is up.

“What transpired some minutes ago where Mutati sent some innocent parents’ children is very unfortunate. What if they were harmed. Would Mutati have paid for their medical bills? We know that he is panicking because the world now knows that his 2016 illegal convention was a failed coup,” Chitika charged.
