Muslims donation medical stuff worth $100 000 to Zambia

The Muslim World League Southern African has donated Personal Protective Equipment materials to Zambia worth 100,000 Dollars towards fight Coronavirus pandemic in the country.

The donation was made through its regional office in South Africa.

According to a press statement made available by First Secretary for Press and Public Relations at the Zambian High Commission in Pretoria Naomi Nyawali, the organisation has also presented Ten thousand face masks.

It had also provided five thousand coverall suits, five thousand face goggles, one thousand five hundred screen-visors and one hundred thermometers.

Speaking during the hand over, Advisor for African Affairs Sheikh Walid El Saadi said the organisation remains committed to helping Zambia fight Covid-19 by equipping the health sector.

The stuff were handed over to Zambia’s High Commissioner to South Africa Major General Jackson Miti at the Zambian High Commission in Pretoria.

Miti thanked the organization and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the good gesture rendered to Zambia.

Adding that the donation came at the opportune time, when the country is trying to contain the curve.

He said Zambia and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia enjoy good diplomatic relations.

Meanwhile, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Republic of South Africa Sultan Al Angari said his government would continue to render help to Zambia owing to the cordial relations between the two countries.
