In all fairness to Mulenga Sata. Yes Zambia is not a mornachy. Yes his not as charismatic as the father. Yes he cannot articulate political issues like the father. Infact of all Sata’s children I have interacted with only “Stella Nkole Mutale Sata” comes close to the father.. But to discriminate Mulenga on the basis that Zambia is not a monarchy without considering other factors would be very unfair.
Some of us not born today and have followed Zambian politics know the truth. Most of men and women aspiring for the PF presidency either than Mulenga, none of them can claim to have been there in 2001 when Sata formed PF. Credit must been given to people that was there in 2001 when PF was born, when most of us including myself did not believe in Sata. If you check the Parliamentary electoral register for 2001. You will see majority that stood on the PF ticket are Sata’s family including Mulenga in Kabwata and people like MCC Kamayoyo that stood in Senanga. (Meaning only his family and close friends believed in him).
Let me cut the story short. To claim Mulenga Sata has not worked hard for PF would be an insult to his loyalty and faith he had in his father when most of us did not including Scott, Wynter, Mmembe and majority in the anti cartel team.
My only question is Mulenga ready or need more time like the current presidents of Botswana and Kenya who had to allow others take control of the party their fathers founded before ascending to the throne? Is he strong enough not to be compromised by the cartel especially Mathani?
