Mulenga Sata withdraws from PF presidential race

With two days before the General Conference to elect the governing Patriotic Front president, Mulenga Sata has withdrawn his candidature.

Mulenga, who is the Son of late President Michael Sata told ZNBC News at 1:15pm monitored by Zambian Eye that he decided to withdraw after a discussion with his mother Margret and steep mother Dr. Kaseba who is also vying for the position.

He says he would want to see a united Patriotic Front after its General conference. Mulenga however said he will  not support any candidate. He says he has been waiting as promised by Interim President Guy Scott that he would meet all the candidates.

Mulenga who is also Lusaka Mayor says he is still young and has the time to contest for the position in future.
