Mulenga Sata walks away from active politics

Former State House Deputy Minister Mulenga Sata has retired from active politics, according to Hot FM.

Sata announced yesterday that he had decided to leave active Politics so that he concentrates on Farming.

The son of the late President Michael Sata once served as Kabulonga Ward Councillor under PF and later on as Mayor of Lusaka before he was Nominated by President Lungu as MP and subsequently appointed Deputy Minister of Lusaka Province.

Within a year, Sata was transferred in the same capacity and served as State House Deputy Minister a Position he resigned from to Join the Opposition UPND.

He contested the Kabwata parliamentary seat in the 2016 general elections but lost to incumbent Given Lubinda.
