Mother and child dies in an inferno in Lusaka

A Mother and her child of Misisi Compound in Lusaka have been burnt to death while the husband survived but has been severely injured after their house caught fire around 9pm on Tuesday.

The husband has since been rushed to the Hospital and is said to be admitted in Intensive Care Unit at University Teaching Hospital. A woman and her child died in the inferno. Eye witness told Zambian Eye that the fire is suspected to have been caused by a candle.

The woman was outside the house when the fire started, she rushed in to help the husband rescue the children. They only managed to save two children and in the process the woman was caught by fire and burnt to death.
