More problems for embattled NDC leader Chishimba Kambwili the Magistrate Court has found him with a case to answer in the defamation case against President Lungu, reports Asa Manda.

In a verdict today, Magistrate Lameck Mwale said according to the evidence adduced by nine state witnesses, the prosecution has established a prima facie case against Kambwili who is also faced with internal wrangles in his party.

Kambwili in this case he alleged to have referred to President Lungu as a ‘dog’.

The matter comes up on April 20 when Kambwili is expected to open his defense.

He was a few days ago also found with a case to answer in a case where Peter Chanda dragged him to Court for accusing the Head of State and Findlay of being involved in some drug trafficking. He has since opened the defence in that and he said, he would never defame President Lungu. This case is before Magistrate Kaoma. But he later on unreservedly apologised to both President Lungu and Findlay.

Kambwili stand convicted though he has appealed in a case of forgery where he was found guilty by Magistrate Simusamba. He is also facing a contempt case before Magistrate Nsunge.

The Vocal politician has pulled out of the opposition Alliance headed by the UPND has since softened up on President Lungu whom he called corrupt.
