The drama that has rocked Opposition National Democratic Congress seems to be getting more interesting after embattled Secretary General Mwenya Musenge announced that he is setting up parallel structures.

Musenge announced that Emmanuel Malite is no longer the party’s Media Director and further appointed a little-known Sinkamba as Malite’s replacement.

In a statement, Musenge said Sinkamba is a holder of a Bachelors Degree in Political Science with a Merit from the University of Zambian.

Musenge also said Sinkamba is not new to Zambian politics as he previously served in senior positions in the National Restoration Party (NAREP) before joining the NDC.

Over the Easter weekend, Government through the Registrar of Societies declared the appointment of Chishimba Kambwili as NDC President null and void.

Musenge and Kambwili have been locked in a power struggle for control of the opposition party, each claiming to be the owner.
